Turn Your Old Conservatory Into A Room You’ll Love Using All Year Round
Is your conservatory too hot in summer, freezing in winter or simply starting to look tired and dated?
You don’t necessarily need to start again.
At Home Comforts, we specialise in transforming existing conservatories into warmer, more comfortable and modern living spaces that feel like a natural extension of your home.
Whether you simply want to replace an old polycarbonate or glass roof with a fully insulated lightweight Tapco tiled roof, upgrade your windows and frames, or completely transform your conservatory into an orangery-style extension, our experienced team can take care of the entire project from start to finish.
With over 28 years’ experience, our builders and joiners can help you make the most of the space you already have.
From An Old Conservatory To A Proper Living Space
A conservatory transformation can completely change how you use your home.
Instead of having a room that sits unused for much of the year, we can create a comfortable space that can become a:
- Dining room
- Family room
- Home office
- Second lounge
- Playroom
- Entertaining space
- Relaxing garden room
Every transformation is different, which is why we’ll visit your home, discuss what you’d like to achieve and recommend the best options for your existing conservatory and budget.
Fully Insulated Tapco Roof Conversions
One of the biggest improvements you can make to an older conservatory is replacing the existing polycarbonate or glass roof with a properly constructed, fully insulated lightweight Tapco tiled roof.
We don't simply clad over your existing roof or add panels underneath it.
The old roof is removed and the new roof structure is properly built from the timber frame upwards, helping create a warmer, quieter and much more comfortable room.
Our roof construction includes:
The result is a completely transformed conservatory with the appearance and feel of a permanent part of your home.
Want More Natural Light?
A solid roof doesn't mean your new room has to feel dark.
We can incorporate roof windows into your new lightweight roof, allowing plenty of natural daylight into the room while still enjoying the benefits of a fully insulated roof.
We can advise on the number and positioning of roof windows to suit your conservatory and how you use the space.
Upgrade Your Conservatory Frames Too
If your existing conservatory frames are older or inefficient, we can upgrade these at the same time as your roof.
We use high-quality, energy-efficient glazing and frame options including Linear Warm Frames and energy-efficient units from Pilkington, K-Glass and Optiwhite, helping improve both the appearance and energy efficiency of your conservatory.
